An Exploration of Experience Through Colour

This collection of paintings is an exploration of colour, form and line-- but most of all, of intuition. The paintings were done without planning the final product. In this way, they are a raw expression of the feeling or the memory tapped at the moment of creation. They are two dimensional slices of being- expressions of inspiration.

Inspired, interestingly enough, by a snow storm that left the landscape of Driftwood canyon 100% covered in snow. A walk that day was like strolling through a black and white photograph, whith the contrast turned way up. The absolute whiteness of the scene, and the brilliance of the light reflected in the countless microscopic snow crystals left a residue of the spectrum's brilliant colours within me as I takled this large canvas.
